God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Psalm 46

Life does not spare anyone from trouble. Storms come unexpectedly — illness, financial pressure, family conflict, uncertainty about the future. In those moments, fear can easily take control of the heart.

But Psalm 46:1 gives us a powerful assurance: God is not distant. He is not indifferent. He is “a very present help.” That means He is near. Available. Attentive.

Our refuge is not in human solutions alone. It is not in our own strength. God Himself becomes our shelter. When everything around us feels unstable, He remains unshaken.

Notice that the verse does not say we might find help. It declares that He is our help. This is a promise you can claim personally.

Today, whatever burden you are carrying, do not face it alone. Pray. Speak honestly to God. Surrender your anxiety to Him. Trust that He is already working, even when you cannot see it.

Run to Him. Rest in Him. Believe that your present help is closer than you think.
