Would you like to volunteer to help another adult learn to read and write? If you can read, you can tutor.
Teachers on Wheels will be holding a daylong tutor-training workshop on April 25th. Call Tom Dawe for details at 709-738-3975.
The Centre for Life offers seniors income tax preparation under the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program. If you are a senior and qualify under the CVITP’s income guidelines you can have your income tax prepared at no cost. Please call 709-579-1500 for any inquiries or to make an appointment.

St. Lawrence Anglican Church in Portugal Cove will be hosting an evening of Contemporary Christian and Country Gospel music on Sunday, May 3rd, starting at 7 pm. Admission is $10 at the door, and refreshments will be served during the intermission. We are back in St. John’s at the Quidi Vidi Loop on Saturday May 30 and excited to see you there. Meet at The Royal St. John’s Regatta Boathouse. The race begins at 7:30pm with check-in at 6:30pm.
