Luis Capote
Public Relations / Broadcasting Coordinator
Luis Capote is a native of Cuba. He left communist Cuba with his immediate family for Costa Rica, then later moved to Canada. He has been married for 31 years to Xenia, and they have one daughter who is teaching in Colorado.
Luis’ life revolves around ministry. For several years, he worked with youth teaching Sabbath School classes or co-directing the Pathfinder Club. His latest experience was with youth camps at Camp Woody Acres. He finds working with youth deeply rewarding.
Luis also enjoys preaching in different churches, but his favourite ministry is Prison Ministries. Radio has always been a passion for him. He looks forward to praying with listeners, as prayer is the most rewarding part of his life.
Psalms 91:1 is Luis’ favourite verse: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust’.” He says: “I have found that if I am in His shelter, He never leaves me. Some listeners may be having a difficult time right now. This verse will give them encouragement to trust in God.”

Mark Worden
Production / Communications Director
Mark is originally from Saint John, New Brunswick. He moved to Newfoundland in 1992 after meeting his wife, Sharon. They have three daughters.
Mark began working at VOAR in 2003 and has witnessed the station grow significantly since then. He feels blessed to be part of Lighthouse FM and its ministry, sharing the Gospel over the airwaves.
Mark is excited to see what God has in store for the radio station as the Second Coming of Jesus draws near. His dedication ensures the station continues to inspire and uplift listeners across Canada.

Nancy Kroeker
Senior Accountant
Nancy joined our station family in the summer of 2022. You may hear her voice when you call, or occasionally over the airwaves. Her husband, Kevin, was our Music Director several years ago, which may explain why her last name sounds familiar.
Nancy is a mother of three boys and stays busy at home. When not at the office, she enjoys sitting by a bonfire or working in the family garden. She also has a passion for powerlifting and has competed nationally in Canada.
Nancy has dedicated her life to Jesus. In 2004, she and her husband were baptized and have built their family on faith. They raise their boys with these values and the love of Jesus. Nancy is excited to be part of Lighthouse FM, contributing to the mission of sharing God’s message with listeners.

Monicke Rodrigues
Accounting Assistant
I am originally from Brazil, and I came to Canada two years ago to complete a Certificate in Office Administration at the College of the North Atlantic in Newfoundland. In addition, I completed a Business Diploma in Australia, where I had the privilege of working in many different fields of administration.
I studied for a Bachelor of Accounting at Avantis University for three years in my home country. This allowed me to work as a treasurer and bank teller in the banking sector. I also had the opportunity to open an English language school, and part of my duties in the company were as an administrator and bookkeeper.
I have a beautiful family that has supported me here in Canada. Edmar Rodrigues, also Brazilian, is a wonderful husband and father; he is an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in St. John’s. Together, we have our daughter Alice. She was born in Brazil and is now seven years old.
We love to go to church every Sabbath, and Alice enjoys attending the Children’s Sabbath school classes, where I’m the teacher, and she is my assistant.
