“Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
Acts 2:47
The early church did not grow because of marketing strategies or human charisma. It grew because believers were united, prayerful, and filled with the Spirit. They praised God. They served others. They shared Christ. And the Lord added to the church daily.
Notice something important: it was the Lord who added. Growth in the gospel is ultimately God’s work. Our role is faithfulness; His role is multiplication.
Sometimes we feel discouraged. We pray for loved ones who seem uninterested. We support ministry efforts and wonder if they are making a difference. But Acts 2:47 reminds us that heaven is actively working. Seeds planted in faith will produce fruit in God’s time.
Help and growth go together. When we depend on God’s help, He produces spiritual growth in our hearts first, and then in others. Revival begins personally before it becomes collective.
This week, ask God to grow you spiritually. Ask Him to expand your faith, your compassion, your courage. Then trust Him to grow His work through you.
Stay faithful. Keep praying. Keep sharing. The Lord is still adding.
