Happy Valley-Goose Bay Tower site lost in fire

by | Sep 19, 2025 | News

Happy Valley-Goose Bay Tower site lost in fireLighthouse FM was heartbroken to find out that we lost all of our broadcasting equipment at 5 Wing Goose Bay, in the huge fire on Friday, April 19. The blaze had the town declaring a state of emergency.

We have to decide what to do next to get back on the air in that community. People have already started reaching out, asking how they can help. We love you for that! Thank you! We will have to scout out a location and start from scratch.

We know the community was hit hard by this fire and we were so thankful no one was injured or killed. We know financially it was also a big hit to the community.

It will likely cost the station $35,000+ to set up a new location. For those looking to help us restore our broadcast to the wonderful people of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador, kindly call the station toll free at 888-740-8627, or donate securely online at lighthousefm.org

Please let us know that you are donating towards the Goose Bay site, through your call or correspondence. Also, be sure to include your phone number should we need to contact you.

Please keep this unexpected loss in your prayers, and that our Father would direct us to the right consultants and Industry people to help us get back on the air quickly.

You can still listen live on our web site or download the Lighthouse FM App.

Thank you from the bottom of our heart!!
